"I don't know where this news has come from. There is no such discussion like that till now," said Katrina Kaif on rumours of her doing Raees with SRK.

Actress Katrina Kaif has denied being approached to star opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Rahul Dholakia's 'Raees'. There were reports that SRK and Katrina will be seen together again in the Farhan Akhtar production after 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'.

"I don't know where this news has come from. There is no such discussion like that till now. There are three films 'Bang Bang', 'Phantom' and 'Jagga Jassos' that I am doing right now. I am in talks for two more projects which I can't reveal," Katrina Kaif told PTI.

Even Rahul dismissed the report and said, "I don't think so we have approached her. But we will surely finalise the leading lady in a couple of weeks." (See Pics: Katrina Kaif, Sonam Kapoor at L'Oreal Women Awards)

Apparently, Katrina Kaif has been offered a role in Ashutosh Gowarikar's period film. But the actress was not in mood to reveal any details and she neither denied nor confirmed doing it.

A few months back there were strong whispers in the industry circles that a sequel of Shahrukh Khan's BAAZIGAR would be going on-floors soon. Since the character played by Shahrukh had died in the first installment, many had wondered how the actor would return in the sequel, considering the fact that producer Ratan Jain was sure about making the film only with the actor.

As has happened though, the idea for making the sequel has been dropped. This comes short on the heels of another film, remake of Amitabh Bachchan's KAALIA, being shelved.

Says a source close to Jain, "He has worked with Shahrukh in MAIN HOON NAA as well and their relationship goes back a long way. They would make a film together but BAAZIGAR sequel is definitely not happening anywhere in near future. In fact he has signed a couple of other directors as well as actors. One of the first films that would go on floors is KHILADI 2 with Abbas-Mustan. Then there is another film too which is locked and just waiting to be announced."

While he is currently occupied with the release of GANG OF GHOSTS which releases this weekend, Jain isn't reading too much between putting BAAZIGAR 2 on hold indefinitely.

"After the release of GANG OF GHOSTS I would be making some announcements. There are a couple of films all set to start. As for BAAZIGAR 2, it is not happening," says Jain.

Before parting, he throws a hint of a major development in the making, what with Shahrukh eventually coming on board for another film of his.

"Yes, there is a film being planned with Shahrukh. However, until there is everything in paper and signatures have been put above the dotted line, it won't be fair for me to share anything more," he says.

We are waiting for that to happen. As for BAAZIGAR 2 being put on hold, it is going to break many hearts out there who were hoping to know what happened indeed after the killing of Madan Chopra!

We last saw Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in the late Yash Chopra's 'Jab Tak Hain Jaan'. If sources are to be believed, we could be seeing this handsome pair again, in Rahul Dholakia's Raees.

An industry source is reported to have said to Mid Day that Katrina Kaif could have very well landed this role opposite the king Khan. The source revealed that besides Kat's two projects Bang Bang and Jagga Jasoos, there is not much on her plate. Therefore, she would be the ideal choice for Raees.

However, there have been no official confirmations on this yet. Until then, we need to wait and watch! Are you excited to see this jodi onscreen yet again?

Produced by Excel Entertainment, Raees is likely to release on Eid in 2015.

He was supposed to play a cop's role in the film that stars Shah Rukh Khan. The project was supposed to go on the floors in September, but according to sources, due to SRK's injury on the sets of Happy New Year, the shoot has been pushed to October.

The newcomer, who really loves and admires SRK's work, apparently couldn't stop telling King Khan about how big a hit he is in Germany and everyone knows him. "Saidah believes SRK is everyone's inspiration in Bollywood and gives a warm welcome to everyone from the fraternity like a true gentleman in spite of being a superstar," says a source.

Shah Rukh, of course, was said to be very encouraging of the young actress foraying into the Hindi movie industry. "Having come with no film family background, SRK has made it huge on his sheer talent and he told Saidah that there's no substitute for sincerity, hard work and a professional attitude," adds our source.

Needless to say, Saidah, who's believed to have given an impressive performance in her debut movie, not only wants to make it big, but also aspires to work with her idol SRK some time in the future.

I'm a big Rajinikanth fan: Shah Rukh Khan

Chennai: Bollywood supestar Shah Rukh Khan Sunday said he is such a big fan of Rajinikanth that he decided to attend the audio launch of his film `Kochadaiiyaan`.

"I came here for three reasons. Firstly, like all of you, I am a big Rajinikanth fan," Shah Rukh told reporters at the launch.

Reminiscing his earlier days, SRK said that many years ago when he landed in Mumbai, he went to see the shooting of a Hindi film starring Rajinikanth and learned an important lesson after observing the southern superstar.

"I saw from far away that he was standing in front of a big mirror and practising throwing cigarette in his mouth.

"There were a lot of actors minding their own business, but Rajini sir kept on practising. He was getting it right like he does every time in the film, but he kept practising. That`s one of my learning lessons of my life because someone of his talent and stature keeps on working so hard," he said.

The second main reason is friendship, said SRK.

"I was in need of a lot of help during the making of `Ra One`, and I would like to thank Rajini sir, Soundarya and Lata ma`am for helping me out overnight. I have come as a friend because whenever I came to Chennai or Tamil Nadu, all of you have given me so much of love," he added.

Talking about the third reason, SRK said: "I came here as a seeker of knowledge because the films made here actually make our country the proudest. The films by K. Balachander sir, Shankar sir and so many others have taught so much in cinema."

Shah Rukh, who recently paid tribute to Rajinikanth through the song `Lungi Dance` in `Chennai Express`, crooned a few lines of the song on stage for the superstar.

The film has been directed by Rajinikanth`s daughter Soundarya. SRK said he is excited about `Kochadaiiyaan` as it has been made using motion capture photo-realistic technology.

"I was extremely excited when four years ago Soundarya talked about her ambitious project because this is going to change cinema in this country. I believe this technology is going to be one of the finest steps in Indian film industry," he said.

The moment his name was called, the baadshah came in running to the podium.

"My Tamil is not good. I only know the word Thalaivaa. Recently someone in the flight told me 'Never speak Tamil'.

Actually I did not know that I was the chief guest of the event. I just came here to have some fun. I have three reasons why I am here today.

Firstly, I have come here as a fan.

24 years ago when I landed in Mumbai – was called Bombay back then, I happened to see Rajinikanth in a movie set. He was practicing to throw the cigarette into his mouth. Even when the others went for lunch, he kept practicing. I have been a fan ever since.

Secondly, I have come here as a friend

When I made Ra One, Rajinikanth has been a huge support. I have even used Chitti, the robot, in the movie. Thanks to Rajinikanth and Shankar sir for that.

Thirdly, I have come here as a seeker of knowledge.

The films made here are extremely wonderful. I am happy to be sharing the stage with veterans like K. Balachander sir and SP Muthuraman sir. There are many more names in the Tamil Film Industry who are great veterans.

I just learned how to pronounce the name of the movie with a little help from Deepika.

Ko – like lovely, Chadi – like getting on something and Yaan – a plane – there you go. Kochadiyaan.

Shahrukh then turned to Vairamuthu and told him, 'See even I can explain the meaning of the movie'.

I am sorry, I don't understand Tamil. I did not understand what most of you spoke here. I clapped when the audience clapped and laughed when the audience laughed.

I am thankful that Indian cinema has introduced such a technology. It is one of the finest steps ever taken."

Finally, Shahrukh Khan sang the Lungi Dance song. He replaced the word 'Lungi Dance' with the word 'Kochadaiiyaan' as he sang.

S.P Muthuraman

Shahrukh Khan - "I have watched a commercial where you look into the camera and ask 'Have I made it large?'  From a television star to a big star. A roller coaster ride to the pinnacles of an insecure job. I have the answer to your question.

Yes you have made it large. Your obvious affection for Rajinikanth is heartwarmingly charming. It is a pleasure, honour, privilege and a blessing to have you here."

The much awaited audio launch of Kochadaiiyaan happened at 10:00 AM today, 9th March, 2013, at the Sathyam Cinemas. Big  names such as Rajinikanth, Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, K. Balachander, S.P Muthuraman, AVM Saravanan, A.R Rahman, Jackie Shroff, Dhanush, Vairamuthu, Shankar, Shobana, Sarath Kumar, Resul Pookutty, Adhi, Nazar, Aishwarya Dhanush, the director Soundarya R. Ashwin and many more took part in the event. There was a huge crowd in the hall and when the Superstar walked in, there was a loud roar.

The event started off with a prayer song and a dance performance followed by the screening of the theatrical trailer of Kochadaiiyaan. The trailer was a treat to watch, with special Rajinikanth punches like "Vaaipugal thaana amaiyaadhu. Naama dhaan amachukkanum" (Opportunities don't happen. We should make them happen) and "Kochadaiiyaan indha Naataiyum, Naatu Makkalaiyum Kaaka Pirandhavan" (Kochadaiiyaan was born to save this land and the people in this land).

The team also screened the making of the film and a clipping of Rajinikanth dancing the Rudra Thandavam which was a real visual feast.

Soundarya Rajinikanth becomes the first daughter to direct a movie with her father in the lead. She appeared to be a happy person when she came up to the stage to speak.

After four years in a coma, Juhi Chawla's brother Bobby Chawla died early today (9 March 2014). Bobby went into a coma in 2010, after suffering a massive stroke while having dinner at a restaurant in Mumbai.
Juhi tweeted a few hours after his death, "This is the perfect screenplay ...look at how my brother timed it ... He gave me the biggest gift of my lifetime ...saw its release ... And went away."
Bollywood was quick to offer its support to Juhi after the news of Bobby's death spread and Shah Rukh Khan, with whom Bobby worked closely as CEO of his production house Red Chillies Entertainment, was among the first to react on Twitter.

Vishal Dadlani: Sad day. Our friend, Bobby Chawla, EP of Om Shanti Om & Ra.One , & Juhi Chawla's brother, has passed away. I wish the family strength.
Juhi, who's currently earning rave reviews for her turn as an evil politician in Gulaab Gang, had long been distressed about her brother's condition. Back in 2011, she'd opened about her sorrow, saying, "I have come to the Ambani hospital after four months to meet a doctor... But I just have not the nerve to go see my brother. My brother is still up here in the ICU ... I'm sitting in the prayer room downstairs. I'd cried and cried... Several times here, begging for my brother to be revived, but he's still here, in a sad state and I'm so scared to see him, I don't go."
"I see the pictures of all these Gods on the wall here, for months I cried and lit lamps and begged and pleaded...ran pillar to post...Whyyyyy no mercy???? If not for me... For my brother...my brother is a sweetheart... Honest to a fault ..selfless ...loyal ...fun loving," she further posted on Twitter.
"A friends friend ...I cannot say enough good things about him .... Whhhyyy him ??!!!! And if God wants why doesn't he take him away ... Why leave him hanging between life and death ... Unfair life !!!!!!!"
