SRK lands in Mumbai; eye on Sena

It has been a tougher week than what Shah Rukh Khan would have expected as it wasn't just about promoting his film, My Name is Khan. It was also a week when he had to battle it out with the Shiv Sena who wanted an apology from him for speaking in favour of Pakistani Players being included in the IPL.

Clearly on the backfoot over the crackdown on its protesters, the Shiv Sena has in its latest editorial described SRK as a traitor.

The Saamna editorial on Saturday says: "How do we awaken this Congress party? This is how you rule. So go ahead. Let Shah Rukh Khan show his film My Name Is Khan without security. Traitors with the blessings of the Congress go ahead, the Shiv Sena will not block you."

But it seems like more Sena rhetoric instead of a real climbdown.

Meanwhile, in his latest tweets before he returns to Mumbai on Saturday, the actor has said, "Haven't seen the kids for five days. So wanting to be with them. Will hug them tight and sleep till all this ends peacefully...Shut-eye time. Will dream of film doing well.... buying some good books, toys, six pack, non-negotiable integrity... and hope all become reality...."

King Khan stood his ground and has not apologised to the Sena. He has many people backing him and showing their support.
