SRK BAN GAYA QUIZMASTER

King Khan Keeps Quizzers And Audience On Toes

BRAINY STUFF: Shah Rukh Khan conducts a quiz at the Indian Institute of Planning and Management at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium on Monday. The superstar cracked jokes, danced and gave the B-school students a day to remember. He also had some gyaan for them: "Success cannot give you wisdom. It is failure that is an amazing teacher." He spoke fondly about Bangalore, where he spent his childhood: "It feels nice and warm to be here."

Action, lots of it. Dance, drama, humour, fun. It was no less than a Shah Rukh Khan masala movie!
The consummate entertainer, King Khan completely bowled over the 2,000-plus crowd in Bangalore, at a quiz hosted by the star on behalf of the Indian Institute of Personnel Management (IIPM). He was in town on Monday for the IIPM DARE 2010 Quiz for top B-schools.
Six teams had reached the finals of the quiz, from 150 B-schools that had participated in the preliminary rounds.
SRK electrified the audience with his dance numbers, especially 'Chaiyya Chaiyya...' which he had performed atop a train in Dil Se. With choice dialogues, he also revived memories of his old popular hit, 'Baazigar'.
While the superstar cracked jokes and entertained the B-school students, he also had a serious message to convey. Talking to business management graduates, SRK made an apt observation: "Success cannot give you wisdom. It is failure that is an amazing teacher. You
have to be scared of failure. I have seen lots of poor people a ro u n d me. I was also once scared of being poor. That is what made me work
hard. Everything is not about money."
In between, he fired questions to the contestants, creatively bringing in the
audience now and then. Before he took a small break, he spoke about his fondness for Bangalore: "I spent my childhood in Bangalore. My grandparents are from here. I am proud that they are still in this city. It feels nice and warm to be here."
As quizmaster, SRK combined questions with audio-visuals, performances and audience interaction to make the quiz lively and fun. He spoke in English and Hindi alternately, putting everyone at ease.
A reference to his yet-to-be-released film came up: a young girl from the audience asked SRK to tell her mom to allow her to see his film. He obliged gladly. Much in this vein, the superstar gave a zing to the IIPM quiz, making it memorable.
