My Name Is Khan’s Plot | Shah Rukh Khan’s character in My Name Is Khan

That Shah Rukh Khan's character in My Name Is Khan suffers from Asperger's Syndrome is known. But what is unknown is that his screen persona Rizvan Khan holds on to black stones in many scenes in Karan Johar's film.

It is learnt that this is part of the actor's styling. Says a source, "Along with a distinct look, the director has given SRK's character a sort of a security blanket he holds tightly in his palm."

Adds the source, "Karan has added the stones as part of the styling. It's obvious that having black stones in his hands is this desire to clutch on to somethingand not let go. It is sacred to him."

Apparently the character's reactions are shown in the manner he clutches on to the stones in any given situation his fist reflects his emotional state of mind.

KJo has stated in his blog (mynameiskaran.com) before the film went on the floors, "Rizvan Khan, the protagonist in the film, suffers from Asperger's Syndrome (high-functioning autism) and Shibani Bhatija, the screenplay writer of the film researched this disorder very accurately and I can't wait to see Shah Rukh portray it.

The message that runs right through the film is in strong support of humanity, which at the end of the day is the only way to rise above any cultural or religious differences that continue to engulf us."

The film stars Kajol along with SRK and has had a schedule in the US as well as in Mumabi.
