redchillies.vfx secures ISO 9001:2008 & ISO 27001:2005 certifications

Led by the trio of Keitan Yadav, Arjun Mitra and Haresh Hingorani, redchillies.vfx which is amongst India's leading VFX houses, has now secured certifications from the International Standards Organisation. The certifications include 1S0 9001:2008 which is related to QMS (Quality Management Systems
) and ISO 27001:2005 which is related to ISMS (Information Security Management Systems).

The studio which is currently working on some extremely interesting projects took around six months to achieve the certification.

Shares Keitan Yadav, "Ours is a creative and at times chaotic and unorganised industry. Bringing in these processes helps to have a method in the madness. This is a beginning and even though these norms are very stringent to cater to, we plan to follow them. Not as a liability but as a way of working. We are doing all this to ensure the efficiency levels and security levels through processes, policies & guidelines of ISO so that we can sharpen our quality focus further"

Sharing more about the certifications, Keitan pointed out that a lot of documentation has to be done, processes have to be analysed with internal audits to be conducted every quarter and the external body that has issued the certification carries out a surveillance every six months."

"These checks and balances reduce the chances of human error, by setting up of processes and documentation for everything and then by an analysis of the same they help achieve your goals efficiently, increase quality and better organise your company so that there is a documented proof of everything, reviews of people have to happen after every project, ratings have to be given and then the analysis has to happen as well. Challenges and bottlenecks faced have to be reviewed and dependancy reduced" he added.

In a bid to confirm to these International Standards and certifications, redchillies.vfx had a complete overhaul in terms of its hardware

and software, standardised the infrastructure, activate administrative controls, authorisation, access reports, stringent data security measures. crisis management plans, data recovery plans, disaster recovery plans, risk management, the works...
